  • Good cam for a turbo build.

I just started my turbo build I am doing stock heads on a forged 5.7 with a very fast spooling gt70 STS turbo, 60lb injectors ls6 intake.

I know a stock Ls6 cam will work great for boost. Would a turbo cam really be a big difference on power over that? Keep in mind I am just about over a shitty idling car. I would like a little lope but I want it to run clean. I do not want to sacrifice any drivability.

Lots of LSA (116 or so), lots of lift, and no more than 230 at .050.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

I am all about drivability on this. A z06 cam is a 117 lsa correct?

That 60 will run out of steam quick. Make sure to get the biggest exhaust housing they offer.

I have the upgraded BB gt67 750hp turbo. It will be plenty for what I am doing with it. Very fast spooling from what I hear too. The previous owner had a stock motor at 620 whp for 1500 miles before he blew a rod. Hence why I got the kit lol.
