Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Hey guys I have a 2000 T/A m6, and at the moment it is pretty much stock.. It has a raptor hood with a functioning ram air intake and SLP LM cat back. I was thinking about throwing on some nitrous..maybe a 75-100 shot? Or should i just do full exhaust, intake and cam?
I just want it to be a street car..mid to low 12 sec car..would like to stay around $1000-$1500 budget either nitrous kit or headers, ory, intake combos.
Another thing is this would be my first time using nitrous so im still a newbie..and i would probably like to have a shop install the kit.

A nice safe kit with all the goodies is going to be about a grand. Tune is another 300 minimum.
LT's, ORY, catback, LS6 intake, and tune will run you about the same.
N20 is going to go a LOT faster. 100 shot on a stock LS1 fbody would easily trap 115-116 where as Full exhaust, intake and tune would prob put you closer to 110-112.
With N20 you have to fill the bottle consistently and "Its not always there" as some say
Bolt ons will make less power but it will "always be there"
I'm not totally sure what you will be doing with the car but for me nitrous is a waste unless your drag racing all the time. Like Mike said you have to fill the bottle and it isn't there all the time. I think it it more cost effective to add mods that are there all the time if it is going to be a street car that you occasionally race. Just my 2 cents.

And another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end. -Homer Simpson

Its up to you really.
thanks..well i also want to make sure i don't blow stuff up..but i don't think a 75-100 shot would really screw stuff up..maybe if i spray all the time. The purpose of this car is going to be my daily driver in the spring/summer and its gonna go to all the local meets/cruises and occasional weekend races.. Im not going to be constantly racing the car..so i thought of having the nitrous kit installed and the bottle full, and just spraying when needed. Can you have the bottle full all the time? or is it dangerous and once you fill it up you have a window of time?
bottle can be full all the time it won't hurt anything but I personally wouldn't leave it in the car all the time for fear of overheating it. This means you won't have it with you at all times and kind of seem to defeat your purpose for it.
ive left mine in the car on 100 degree days and presure only got to 12,000psi. optimum range when using it is 10,000psi. i have a kit for sale. youd need a plate for an ls1 tho.
