I just run a 100 shot on my car and am not the brightest, but here's my input. I run a 78 MM wet plate kit, 10lb bottle with warmer, purge, blow down tube and blanket, window switch, W.O.T. switch and a tune to pull timing. I would say what I have is the minimum you need to run "safely"(least risk). Window switch controls at what RPM the nitrous comes on and what gear. I have mine set to come on at 3k in 1st through 3rd and shut off at 6k. 3K is the suggested minimum for nitrous activation. I have mine off during shifts. Some people say it is safe to spray through the gears(A4), others say dependent on your tranny build. I have a built TCI, but choose not to spray during shifts. Sure I forgot some shit and Larry(1Badair) will be in shortly, he knows this shit way better than me.. If you choose dry, you will either have to tune in more fuel when activated and/or run bigger injectors. Also, 100 shot run NGKTR6's, 150-200shot TR7 are suggested with a non projected tip.. With wet you also need to verify you flow enough fuel(or upgrade) to support the shot you want to spray or run a standalone fuel system.Last edited by OIF1VET; March 20th, 2010, 04:00 PM.sigpic

larry covered most of the basics. IMO with all the info out these days I'd never run a projected tip plug, even on a 100 shot.Doing less with more

Really? First I've heard of that.. I've been told by many nitrous guru's TR6's are good for 100 shot or less.. So you think I should switch to TR7 non projected as well?Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postlarry covered most of the basics. there are many threads on tech regarding the subject and some guy do have problems with the TR6 plugs melting, not often on a 100 shot but it can happen. I would do what you feel comfortable with. The only adverse affect with a non-projected plug is said to be they are slightly harder to tune, that is it. I'd do it just for piece of mind.Doing less with more

Ahhh. Well I have been on TR6's and a 100 shot for 2 years with no issues.. So why mess with what isn't broken. If I up my shot to 150 this spring, then I will def be changing plugs..Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View Postthere are many threads on tech regarding the subject and some guy do have problems with the TR6 plugs melting, not often on a 100 shot but it can happen. good idea, I certainly don't want to tell you what to do as I know the TR6s are probably just fine but just stating my opinion as I haven't ever heard of anyone having those issue with any non-projected plugs
