Alright, not sure on how many guys here have dealt with superchargers but I am thinking about making another blower kit for a 3.8l engine.
I have made a powerdyne kit for the 3.8 cars and it was a decent performer for an end result of around 260-280rwhp non intercooled. It ran off the main accessory belt and I used a custom tensioner setup. The supercharger ran a smooth pulley as I had to run it on the back side of the belt the way it was routed.
I am now thinking about picking up a Procharger P1SC headunit that I have found on a Mustang forum and seeing if I can come up with something with it. I am wondering if anyone has any input about running it on a separate belt using a GTP balancer so there would be the main acces. belt and a supercharger belt vs. running the blower on the main acc. belt.
I am wondering if it is worth it to try and get it to run on its own belt or if it would be fine running it off the accessory belt like I did the powerdyne. Costwise it might be cheaper to make a kit that uses only the main acc. belt and not a separate setup.
Any other suggestions when working with the procharger headunit?
