  • Nitrous Pressure gauge and DynoTune heater problem??

Figured I would post this here too

Recently installed a nitrous kit on my 97 rs (NOS-05175)

Got the bottle filled and I have an in-line pressure gauge, and it reads 0psi...(yes the bottle is open) and i did try everything to get it to read ANYTHING....its gotta be broken, but i didnt know it was that easy to break??

Took the hose off the nozzle, started the car and just pushed the WOT switch and it worked great, and the purge too, so it works and has pressure, just the pressure gauge and heater i guess??

    any ideas??

Here is a pic of when i was installing it

As for the bottle heater...the switch lights up like its on, but nothin happens.

I double checked all the wireing, grounds, and power....its got it all, but it will not heat up..

The instructions say to turn the allen wrench screw on the regulator clockwise till it clicks, and i did like a whole turn, and got no click....do i go more??? Plus having the gauge not working makes it hard to determine what that thing is reading ya know...

This just doesnt make sense because it worked the first time i turned it on, and now i get nothin.....so can someone tell me what is broken??

any ideas?? any ideas?? any ideas?? any ideas?? any ideas??

Gauges are EXTREMLY easy to break. Even new-in-box ones can be bad from a drop. I'd bring it back.

IDK about the bottle heater, maybe the element is bad.

ok....got the pressure gauge to work, and its an in-line gauge.

I just took it apart and blew it out and cleaned it up....the guy before me used teflon paste, so i think a piece must have gotten into it. so it works great!!

As for the heater, ive been talking to a guy from dynotune and doing a few tests to make sure everything is working...so with his help, he said we will get this thing working great....ill let everyone know and thanks for the tips

the "screw" that i had to turn was the wrong one that i thought, so once i fixed one of the wires that got pulled out, and redid the grounds, i turned to OTHER screw and it worked

And yes i did it, but i think the 50 shot is hard to feel, but i think i could tell

now i just wanna throw a 100 shot on it, but im not rupip, ill do the upgrates first
