Has anyone ever considered stripping a Bonneville SSEI??? I mean they are supercharged already and probably would fit the motor mounts. Clearance is my only question but I could see that happening. You can get the whole car on ebay for arounf $1000. Then just sell the body for parts and scrap and voila!!!

ya can do it... but it takes some cutting to fit, we already have a thread on the factory supercharger off fwd 3800 which you can beef up the motor from the stock 240-260hp to about 350 is what ive seen on the stock setup with bigger injectors smaller pulley... still pretty damn good for a slightly modded stock s/c v-6 but if you wanna do it id be more than willing to help you try it out... i think that would be pretty cool... you can pick up the supercharger and computer and wire harness to match pretty cheep...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.

the gtp and other series 2 supercharged blowers will NOT work without ALOT of modifications. First you would have to redo the sc snout to bend it around back to the front because the blower inlet would face the firewall. Then you have fitment issues with the firewall because it won't fit without modifying. All in all way to much work for the power you get from it. Much easier to get a Powerdyne sc or something instead.
I wondered how long it was going to take for you to ask about it, lol. Every noob asks on every camaro v6 forum.------------------------------------------

where do you want to be slapped for posting about electric superchargers? Or do you want the steel boot up the backside?
Better yet, get the electric supercharger, it would be much better than slapping or kicking ya.

LOL
I feel so loved!!!
Just how much Hp could you expect from a 3.8L Supercharged, Headers and Exhaust? What else would need to be done to make it a competitor? Short of an engine swap?
Woot! I've been upgraded to postwhore status!!!Last edited by phoenix_rising; April 5th, 2006, 10:31 AM.

I would say you could get about 350rwhp out of a supercharged and full bolt-on 3.8l. Just as long as its not electrical.Doing less with more

I have the powerdyne 9PSI right now. I love mine, it was pretty simple to install but some of it was time consuming.2002 v6 camaro supercharged with a powerdyne pushing 12PSI, I also have an aluminum driveshaft, headers, high flow CAT, flowmaster exhaust, HP Tuners, AEM wideband, throttle body spacer, PCV bypass, cartech adjustable FMU, timing control module (wich I don't need now with HP Tuners but I am not going to spend the time to take it out), 3.23s with LSD, Spec stage 2 clutch, Exon (I think that is how you spell it) Ground effects, P&P throttle body, and GTP 36# injectors.

depends on the supercharger. The powerdyne can't go much higher than 10psi before belt slippage takes over. A mach performance procharger kit is expensive but intercooled and can go over 10psi no problem however anything higher than 10psi will need a rebuilt engine. powerdyne kits give your around 260-290 rwhp and the mach with good tuning can get you easily above 300 rwhp.------------------------------------------
