well synthetics were bad for older engines... the only thing that i ever heard was not breaking in fully... which in new cars they say it makes no difference... i normally run a synthetic blend just because i never go more than 2,500 miles without a change... i dont need the 10,000 mile protection because i dont care what claim is made..lol i dont trust it for that long..lately ive been switching back between valvoline 60W syn blend and mobil syn blend race oil... i think the mobil stands up a tad better but its alot harder to find... eaither way best thing to do is flush your engine after every change... even if the oil looks clean thats the best way to keep it that way... even with sythetics when they break down they leave a nasty film.. thats what hurts the engine.. gotta clean it out all the way before putting the new in..
but as for all my other fluids i use synthetic... axel, trans,ps,even brake fluid now... no one every changes there brake fluid... i think thats supose to be a yearly deal in most owners manuals...
