I watched the video and then read everybodys comments. I was also concerned about how fast the car revved up on the dyno. It almost looks to me like they don't have enough resistance on the rollers. I've watched some really high hp cars on dynos before and they pull like hell to spin the rollers if they are set up right. Your car looked like it was just free revving while in gear it wound up so fast.

If you had a turbo car on that dyno I'd be curious to see the results. On turbobuick.com there was a guy with a grand national that was probably running a car close to 500hp but the dyno only claimed 177hp. The dyno wasn't resisting enough for the car to spool the turbo. It would free rev to 5000 rpms and he never got more than a couple pounds of boost. Unstrapped the car (pissed off of course) and burned the tires away from the dyno with 25 psi of boost.

With your car the results are probably accurate but if I was thinking about running a turbo car on that dyno I'd certainly ask a bunch of questions to that operator first.

Congratulation on a bunch of horsepower in a sweet car!!!

Well what I noticed was when ever I was in the drivers seat and made a pull(last year) I'd be at 2500 RPMS and nail it in 3rd.. When they did my car this year I wasn't driving, the guy driving was taking it up to almost 3800 rpms before nailing it.. That's why it got to the redline so quick. They were having a problem with the window switch and had it set to manual at 3800 rpms which is why I think they brought the revs up so high before hitting the throttle(to ensure the N20 didn't engage below 3 grand). All my pulls were consistent though, right around 360 NA on 4 pulls(cutouts closed), right around 434-440 on 100 shot on 4 pulls(cutouts closed). Only had them make 1 pull each with the cutouts open.. I was only there for the 2 pulls I video taped so not sure if they did the other pulls the same way or not..

I guess come spring we'll find out how accurate the numbers are.. 471 on a 100 shot with my new 15's and MT ET Streets should put me solidly in the 11's... Last year I ran a best of 12.63 on 18" rims NA, so we'll see?

yeah those dyno runs seemed very suspicious to me too but then again I'm no dyno operator. Honestly I've been to several dyno days and seen many much higher hp cars make pulls and none of them EVER were that short. I bet it'll still run like a raped ape no matter what though. Just for an example though last time my car was dyno'd it put down 355rwhp or something similar and it ran 11.73 an 115.9mph go figure that out lol autos with converter just don't pt down great numbers usually.

Yep, they were alot shorter than when I was driving the car.. I just think it was because he had the RPM's so high before he nailed it, doesn't take long to jump 2 grand.. We'll see in a couple months when I hit the track..

I have my shift point set at 6 grand, then it usually shifts around 6200.. I just know he took it to 6 grand cause I saw my shift light come on(you can see it come on in the vid, A-pillar) when he let off the gas.. And I'm guessing he was starting around 3800 rpms(because that is where he manually had the nitrous engaging at) vs the 2500 I would start off at on the dyno.. But I was thinking, even when I started at 2500 and he started much higher, the dyno showed the same numbers NA from last year to this year.. Like I said, we'll know the truth when I hit the track this spring!

We shall see end of April.. Our local track doesn't open til then.. Test fitted my rims, only need to grind the rear calipers a little bit, so going to order tires soon.. These 15's are going to make a big diff over the 18's I ran last year...

Make sure you get some nice tires and I think you'll see some 10s for sure, good luck and keep us updated a lot.

Going with MT ET Streets 275/50 for the rear.. Hopefully the rear end will last!

Was the converter locked or unlocked for those runs? If it was unlocked you would have to think it flashed to something easily above 4000 RPMs which would make it so seem short. And with a tire that car can run 10's on the jug at that power level I would think.

I honestly have no idea on the convertor.. It's a 3200 Stall, that's the best I can say.. Not very knowledgable on the convertors..

Well find out if they locked the converter for those runs. If it was locked I would look into it a little bit more. But if it was unlocked than I don't think you have anything to worry about. But either way you will find out at the track in the spring
