I'd probably pull your 3.4 and have it re-built with better internals (seeing how i remember you saying you have a ton of miles) and then go ahead with that turbo. it would be much less of a headache when you're done!

well you throw any kind of power adder that will make a HUGE gain...and you will be suprised how fast shit breaks after that lol. and even when you "upgrade" to stronger stuff....that crap still breaks sometimes too lol. but yeah if you put a turbo on your car, my guess is that added power will test the limits of your stock parts and break them very quickly

yeah, I'm building up my 3.4L. I figure that'd be the easiest thing for me to do, I don't need a lot of speed, I just want it to be fast enough to hold it's own compared to other v6's. Once I get my interior done and the engine detailing done, then it'll be time to invest in a rebuild of the 3.4

Those Turbo 3.4s do have impressive numbers, but the turbo LT1s and LS1s still have even better numbers, I'm staying with the Turbo LS6 swap I got planned.

How many miles are on the LT1 and 4l60E? Still, might be worth looking into. Also, what's your target HP and long term goal with the car?

Yeah but like he said hes on a budget unless you wanna give him a T-56. Nick you need to really decide what your goals are. If you just want a car that'll run 12s its be much easier to swap the LT1 and do a cam and bolt-ons. The turbo 6 would be bad ass but you have so many miles and new internals are gonna cost you and once you get to the kit your well over $4000. Decide on goals and then we'll give you input on the best route.

The LT1 and trans have about 150000 miles. I am aiming for about 350 hp on a budget, and I hope to run at least low 12's by the end of the summer. . . If you have a T56 lying around that you can just give me, free of charge, Then I'll take it! Until then, I'll stick with the 4L60E that I have already attached to the engine. . .

Here's the only thing with turbo'n the v6, eventually you are going to want more, we all do trust me. So, I think I'd go ahead and do the LT1, especially with the mileage on you v-6. Now I would maybe think about freshening up that LT1 a lil, new rings and bearings maybe? IDK, just a thought.

350 hp wont get you low 12s....it wont even get you outta the 13s. Thats unless you plan on spraying a 150 shot.....

                                Thankz for the input

Thankz for the input on adding power to my 3.4L V-6. I have the same idea as Red Alert. I don't want to make my V-6 run like a LT1. I just want my 6 to hold its own.
