    yerp...GM rearends=poop .... stock rear end is barely enough to handle the stock "320 hp" of my car :thumbsdo:

      My preference in order Dana 60 then 9" then 12 bolt.
      The Dana is as strong as a 9" it weights less with less power loss.
      My buddy out in WA took out his 12 bolt with factory LS1 hp. Even though it was covered under warranty, I would still pass on them..

        A Dana 60 is strongest overall for rearends no-questions asked, but there's a pretty big debate over the 12-bolt and the Ford 9".
        People assume the 9" is indestructable because they've heard that from everyone else, but the facts show that a 12-bolt is stronger. A Ford housing needs numerous reinforcements and bandaids to keep it from flexing, let alone the quick-change chunk adds to the overall weakness of the axle. There's a ton to it, pick up that Car Craft that speaks of the 12-bolt buildup.
