Ok so i was looking at my t/a after i parked it and there was a huge gob of gum that someone probably threw out the window and it stuck me. The heat + momentum allowed it to melt and move backwards so it was all over the place. I was able to get most of it off by hand but I am having trouble getting the last bit off. I don't want to scratch the paint. It really just smears all over the place. Claybar is not doing the trick this time.

Stuff like that (paint work) scares me. I'd just take it to a detailer and have them get it off.Originally posted by pHEnomIC View PostOk so i was looking at my t/a after i parked it and there was a huge gob of gum that someone probably threw out the window and it stuck me. Would ice work? It works on gum in hair. You make it cold and it looses its stickiness. Maybe you could put the ice on the gum on the paint and then rub it off. Just a thought. My Toys: Hugger Orange 1999 Z28 6-Spd Twin Turbo

on the same note, office depot sells some 'canned air' to clean out your com keyboard. the air comes out really cold. if the ice thing would work for your little problem, the canned air thing might make things a little easier

Well I got it out today. Just washed it up really good and got all the dirt out of the area so i wasnt rubbing any grit or anything into the paint. Used a dry wash cloth and hard rubbing got it off. This was an absolute pita!
