Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Clay bars are all about the same and all great if used right. But you shouldn't use them to remove wax. First thing you need to do is wash the car using Dawn dish washing detergent. This will remove all the wax and polish. Then use the clay bar using lots of lubricant. Then wax or polish. It's A LOT of work but well worth it. I do the '73 about every 3rd year.
Sounds like a lot of work to me !
I have never tried it .
Ive used that method with my zaino. The dawn wash works great. Then the clay is able to pull all the remainder of the dirt out of the paint. but it does take forever.

Everything I've heard about the results of Zaino sounds great but the time and cost just aren't worth it for me. I'll keep it as simple as I can personally.
Depends on how you look at it. You apply it and then use their quick detail spray all the time. Well shit, I can put ANY wax on my car and then use quick detail spray all the time.
I tried the liquid ice claybar tonight, after reading B's review, on my wifes XC-90.. Man that stuff works great!!! Use the ice wax afterwards, scratches were gone, nice deep rich color again.. I'm sold..
Sure is a sweet looking WS6 on the side of her car..lol Just took this pic in the garage, sorry it's not the best pic.. But you get the idea.. It sure looks better then that thing that showed up on the side of Brians car!!!! LOL
i used the liquid ice wax, and i LOVE it. i was a big fan of meguiars nxt tech wax. my car could use a claybar, but the wax did a superb job. i have a couple pictures that can highlight the difference it made.
before the wax, when i first got my car out for the year (no wax, wash only):
after the liquid ice wax:
you can see the swirls and spiderwebs really bad in the first picture, but they are gone in the after photo. what is incredible about the wax is not having to worry about the heat or sunlight, and also anything that isnt a painted surface. it is a ***** to get off and takes a lot of rubbing with the microfiber cloth, though. i used my girlfriend's dad's 10" random orbital, and it didnt do as good of a job getting the wax off as my hands did. granted i was tired, but it was worth it. i did my taillights. i also did my door handles and it returned the deep black finish to them (like mother's back to black, but not greasy). i used it on the gray plastic cladding on my girlfriend's ford escape, and it seemed to condition it and make it look great. i plan on using the claybar if my car doesnt sell by the time i get back form florida.
sorry to jack to the thread, just thought i had some detailed and relevant information to add. happy detailing, ladies and gentlemen!
