Both Very good Products. Meguiars polishes are prolly a bit better to hide flaws.

If I HAD to choose between the two I would go with Mother's. Personally there is so MUCH better products out there. I started a long time ago using MEguiar's because I gave into the Meguiar's "hype". It is too oily and streaky for me. Then I went to Mother's and never had a problem with them except some difficulties in removing product once in a while. Then I swithed to a DA polisher and dumped the over the counter stuff and went to more professional items that give better results and are way more user friendly.

I have to agree Meguires is too oily for me. I'll take mothers over meguires any day. Its much easier to work with.

I'm on Meguiar's for wax now. Though I used to use Carnauba wax. I think that's the name. Anyway, I've been using Mother's mag and Aluminum polish for years. I tried the powerball with the powermetal polish and it just doesn't do it for me. Hands down the best polish I've ever used is the Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish, which is a paste. Can't beat a good hand polish.

Meguiars, way easier to use than Mothers. Mothers I had to apply tons of force onto the paint just to buff it out, and it seemed completely redundant to try and get a scratch-free finish when you're bowing the plastic of the door in from pushing so hard to try and buff it out.

Both great products. I use Meguires mostly but I do use Mothers for aluminum polish and other minor stuff.
