Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

So, I am dismayed to see that my nice fresh paint job from last Sept has a few rock chips in it already. Just curious as to what my options are for maintaining these...
- Is there a professional service that repairs these well? Is this an option on a good detailing package?
- Anyone have any good advice/how to's on properly repairing these?
- How do you guys handle yours?

Thought about it, then realized it's just a 4th gen Camaro
Basically, I am just thinking if I can correct them well, or have them corrected periodically (like, end of each season), it'll keep it from snowballing to a million of them to fix at once a couple of years down the road.
You can build it up slowly with touchup paint using a toothpick or something, then build up some touchup clear, then wetsand and buff it. Never done it myself, but I've seen people do it and have it come out looking great. There are guides on the internet and I believe duplicolor used to make a kit for it that you can find in parts stores.
I've also heard of people using airbrushes but never seen a before/after to know how good it turns out.
You can put a clear viynal wrap on the front. But that it's kinda noticeable. Or just let it chip. And get it repainted in a couple years. Or you can dab some base coat in there then some clear.
Would strongly advise against the 3M spray. It's gotten horrible reviews amongst other detailers.
As for your options to fix, you have three.
1) Live with it
2) Fix them with something like Dr. Colorchip or Langka.
3) Respray
Then to protect, there are really only three other options:
1) Bra
2) Clear bra (my vote)
3) Opti-Coat
In your professional opinion.... How is that Dr color chip stuff? Any good? My DD has a pretty metallic paint that I can't dream matching and it's starting to get some nice chips in the hood.

It works well. Their paint matches stock colors pretty well.
