  • Review of Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detail Spray

While at Murrays/O'Reilly yesterday, I saw a new(er) Quick Detail Spray from Meguiars that I hadn't seen before. I decided to check it out and I'm so impressed with the results that I felt it deserved it's own review thread.

    Product Information:
Meguiar's® Ultimate Quik Wax is the fastest way to a dazzling, show-car shine! Featuring Meguiar's Hydrophobic Polymer Technology™, it makes paint come alive with a deep, wet-look shine you would only expect from liquid or paste waxes. Our new technology leaves no white residue on plastic and trim, and it can even be applied in direct sunlight! Simply mist on and wipe off. So fast and easy that you can wax your entire car in just minutes! The protection and relentless water beading, however, lasts for weeks.

I'm admittedly a very lazy person and I'd much rather quick detail spray than wash my car over a bunch of dust and a few water spots. I haven't washed my car since the beginning of April. It was outside during the rain shower at the Meet & Greet and it has accumulated a LOT of pollen and dust on the exterior of the car.

I like to start on my hood, so I misted half of the hood and started wiping. Very first impressions were "Holy shit." This spray, combined with very clean (read: brand new) microfiber towels cleans the dirt and dust off without having to apply any pressure to the surface of the paint. I just ran it along the surface and it wiped clean. Even on the black paint of my stripes, this spray did not leave any streaks or residues.

One test that I like to do with new products is try it on glass too. Some detail sprays work great on glass, others just streak and smear. This spray left a crystal clear surface on the glass. No streaks, smears, or left over water spots.

Pictures spreak for themselves but I'm pretty damn impressed with this spray. I've always been a Meguiar's guy and with Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detail Spray I'll continue to be for a long time.

I have some pure polish, some PPC polish, and some glaze that'll work wonders. But that'll cost ya

I do have some detail spray I could give you though, it won't clear thigns up but it'll do just what Brian is describing.

It is a great product....been using it for about two years. It's great to use when you get to the cruise or show.....Meguiers Quick wax is also good as well as their NXT Tech wax..
That Camaro looks awesome BTW.... Very Nice.

I am a little confused on what you used because the picture of the bottle you showed says" Ultimate quick wax", but you said it is Quick Detail Spray? Are these different or the same?

Looks good. I need to get me some wax for the Formula to try to bring a little more shine to it. Then I need to have Todd wheel it, but I don't see that happening this summer unless wife get's a job.

And Darren your Camaro was just painted, how can it be a "Faded third gen"
