  • w00t for ICE Liquid Claybar

**DISCLAIMER: Angie was in the Ford Taurus, so it's OK.

So, you guys ever notice how idiots like to park on the corner so if you were to slide on ice you'd run right into their car? Yeah, well that's our neighborhood.

Anyway, Ang was driving to work today and when she went to turn her car kept going straight... right into the dousche that parks on the corner. She just skimmed his car's bumper, no damage on his car. Her bumper had a few scuffs, pretty superficial. The "before" pictures were taken after buffing it with Meguiar's Quick Detail spray, so the scuff was kinda in there, but not dented or scratched into the paint.

When I first got the car I didn't know the passenger side headlight did that until it rained. I am going to have to get it looked at.

              x2...lol...

One potential fix for this is to drill two small holes (one top, one bottom) of the headlamp housing rearwards behind the reflector...not a perfect cure, but it may help. Have seen it done on other cars with some success.

hmmm, looks good. I guess the ICE Liquid claybar does a decent job. I wanted to try it but I always thought the actual claybar was better. Maybe I'm wrong from these pics. Glad you and your car are both okay.

HHmmmm, I should try that on my wifes rear bumper this spring since we traded some paint with an old lady in her Grand Am.

Definitely. I used it on my car after my first accident with Red Alert back in November. It got rid of all the paint we traded, and also cleaned up a bit.

I tried this stuff today on a shopping basket hit on my upper bumper, the basket was one of the plastic baskets and not the older metal baskets (thank god), What I did use was Meguiar's Scratch X with my buffer, this has removed about 85% of the mark, I think that doing it a few more times and waxing it will come out looking good!.... I wish I would have taken a before photo... but I have a few other areas that I will be doing...
