How much do you think a muffler shop would charge to put a new muffler on? I just need a new muffler, My tipes will need to be cut off and rewelded on. Also do you think they would let me bring my own muffler or would I have to buy one from them you think?

I just had a new muffler welded in. I went to one of the most respected shops in town and they are supposed to be one of the best on price as well. It came to $120 out the door. $90 for the muffler and $30 for the labor. If you bring your own muffler in, it would probably be around $30 +/- $10, and I know that the place I went to would let you bring your own in.Comment
