You won't see any gains unless you are doing head work as well. If you are getting head work done then it depends on what kind of heads you are using. I believe its alot more money and work to get the ports on a LT4 intake to match up to LT1 heads? If you get your LT1 heads ported, I believe you get your LT1 intake port matched. I havent heard any power gains out of swaping intakes on a LT1 or porting intakes with stock heads. Even with the new Edlebrock intakes, I havent heard anything worth while with them yet.
What mods do you have now?

You can't interchange LT1 and LT4 parts the intakes and heads must be matched together.CraigSemi Retired Street Racer2012 Lava Red Mustang GT 5.0 MT82GONE BUT NOT FORGOTEN

LT4 intakes are also rare and very expensive. stock for stock youll see minimal gains and ported for ported youll see minimal gains. The stock intake definitely isnt a bad unit, its good for 400 horsepower the way it is. Craig is correct about the head matching too.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; June 5th, 2007, 11:35 AM.-Joel

Port the heads and keep a stock intake. The LT1 intake untouched is good for just about 400hp. It's not worth it to swap to all LT4 stuff unless you are just getting it to say you have it.2005 Yamaha R6

True LT4 intakes are rare. But Edelbrock makes Lt4 intakes that are like the air gap carb intakes and should be better. Get one of them and Lt4 heads from edelbrock and port them later if you have to.Originally posted by JoeliusZ28 View PostLT4 intakes are also rare and very expensive. stock for stock youll see minimal gains and ported for ported youll see minimal gains.
