  • Need help with a TB spacer...

I bought the ZZPerformance Throttle body spacer for the 93-97 3.8l v6, but it did not come with instructions and i can't get a hold of anyone from ZZP.

My question is there is a black metal bracket that bolts between the TB and the Intake Manifold that holds the throttle cable. From what i am seeing if i put the spacer in then the bracket will only bolt down in the front and not in the back anymore. Any suggestions other then get a V8 would be great.

hmm, never seen one in person and installed on a 95-98 v6 fbody. So I am unsure how it hooks up and all. While you are putting that in you should tap it and put in a wet nitrous nozzle into it.

I will have to think about that one and look at my car and see what everything looks like there

I think a V8 would work great for your application

I think i did. I will take some revised shots when i get a chance. It has been running great. in fact the ZZPerformance TB spacer has also significantly help the common 3.8L V6 Gurgling/Marble Rattling sound coming from the intake. I can still hear it for a short time after cold starts but it quickly goes away and is gone after the engine warms up. Before it would rattle all the time.

how close is the SLP elbow now to the fans? Pretty tight squeeze?

Yeah, it is fairly tight but it is not hitting the fans nor is it cutting off air flow.

Here are some pictures i snapped tonight of the finished job. You can see that the Black Throttle Cable plate is only attached to the side of the TB and not in the back on the Intake Manifold. I will have to do some fabricating on this.
