Anyone know of a good place that ports and polishes heads and intakes? Collins doesnt really do this so I was just seeing if anyone knows of a reputable place that does. Thanks

for a 3.4l car I would look at doing the 3400 top end swap, then you would have alum. heads that flow better than the cast iron ported 3.4 stockers
Downside to this though is that you have to replace the pistons and such as well with 3x00 pistons to keep the compression in range.------------------------------------------

in all honesty, i wouldn't spend $$ on a V6 car especially if you're in the market for an SS let alone any other V8 car.....otherwise, it's my understanding that abbott racing is the whip shit for V6's
To answer your question, i believe ETP Heads can do pretty much anything, they're even conveniently located in Walled Lake1998 Camaro SS Bullseye Turbo

im stickin with the v6...yea v8s are great but with gas prices on the rise and such...also theres a guy over on camarov6 that is in the process of making a turbo set up for the 3.4 which im seriously considering...so with my current list of mods it will be one fast v6.
and yea travis ive been looking at doin the intake and heads swap...im just not looking forward to replacing the pistons if i go that route. There was a guy who kept just ported the intake and heads...full exhaust camshaft valvesprings etc and he said he was in the mid 14s...does that number sound right for the mods?2011 Ford Raptor SuperCrew

the mileage difference between a v6 and a v8 is minimal unless you are using the horsepower 24/7.-Joel

hmm...im just thinkin it would be a fun project and cool to see. Plus my car is solid both mechanically and body wise. With no real bites id rather keep it then sell it really low and i just lost my scholarship so im no longer in the market for an ls1 lol.2011 Ford Raptor SuperCrew

I want to, but I can't find a cheap 3.4 car yet. There was a guy on here that had one then he disappeared. It was out in a field or something. If I find one with a 3.4 that is in need of a rebuild for cheap I would tackle it because it sounds like they can turn some decent numbers from the swapOriginally posted by meissen View Posti'd love to see someone local do the 3400 conversion and post results.
s.reef- who was it that told you about having heads/intake and in the 14s?
if you are sticking with the 3.4, then go with aluminum driveshaft, gears/lsd, exhaust, intake, underdrive pulleys, ported tb, then think about other mods later. The big thing with the 3.4 is the fact that there is no real tuning available for them unless you go standalone or swap a obdII setup into it. You could do nitrous then without worrying about tuning, a turbo project I would be hesitant on as tuning would be somewhat needed. Heads/cam/intakes are going to want tuning as well unless you go small with the cam and stuff.------------------------------------------

yea travis...ill look for that one guy, he may have been on camaroforums.com... i was just seeing what places or who could port. my current list of mods for the summer is suspension-bilsteins and eibach springs which i already got just need to be put on, then aluminum driveshft, 3:73s, underdriv pulley, drivewire.com had a very mild cam i was looking at also. and then intake and heads. The car already has pacesetter headers, catback, CAI and a performance clutch.
I have a nitrous kit, just worried that this is a dd car that gets a lot of highway usage and has 112xxx miles already so i need it to stay dependable. thats why its not on already.
also white905 on camarov6 is in the process of making the turbo kit so i wouldnt even be looking at that til the summer after this.2011 Ford Raptor SuperCrew
