    LS1 heads

    Ok guys i pick up my new T/A next friday and am going to start buying parts now!
    What heads and cam are you guys running with stock bottom end? I am just trying to figure out some combos that i WONT have to flycut the pistons with!

      I'de get ahold of Sean@CARS, his H/C combo's are making some power. ETP makes the best heads hands down, and sean has a few grinds that work great with them. you'll have to really pony up the dollars for some ETP heads though, their 11* heads are this shit though!!! No flycutting required with his combos

        well the cam isnt the problem, we custom grind cams at work so i kinda got that under control. i just need better info on how big i can go on the cam without flycutting. i sent emails out to some companies but am getting little info for what i need. i can get deals on ET because we do work with them, but i am limited on cash because i dont have full control over my wallet anymore

            yeah the married life....
            we do custom cams for comp, crower, gm performance, gm powertrain and prototype developement

              i just bought dart heads and a vengence cam (comp grind), it is not a huge cam and i will probably will have to fly cut, but its no big deal.

              Dart 225 valve free drop Intake: 0.140" , Exhaust: 0.172"

              LS1 241 castings: Intake: 0.165" , Exhaust: 0.175"

              so a lot less free drop that is the only head i know since that is what i have, also i would check out TFS heads, they seem to do will. If you dont want to fly cut i would stick with stock casted heads, and a mid size cam for tq...
