Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
well i would say droping in a carb v8 will cost about the same at the end of the day as modding a 3.8. You can have a nice 350ci making over 300hp for less then u will have a 3.8.
i would say with good shoping $700-1100 .
also a good shop could have it and out in no time. Its just when you start tlking add a Fuel injected motor price starts to shoot up in labor and parts
Well sir when it comes down to it do what makes you happy. But My car started as a 3.4 v6 . now it has a lt1 and a th-400 trans.
I dont think I would go with a carb v8 in a fourth gen. Just doesn't seem right.

yea its not for every one i guess adding a V8 but Its simple HP.ALso a V8 has Bass.
I have seen some sick moded v6 camaros on hear that will beat most of the stuff on the street. I mean stroking and turboing a v6 will cost the same a ls1ing. So just add a ram air hood and Turbo's . 466rwhp is not a bad day.
Im about to do my intake and exhaust. What do you think about the K&N CAI w/ a high flow cat and 3" magnaflow catback? Should I get pacesetter headers and y pipe????
My v6 is at about the same level as yours is now Shah. I think I have decided on modding my V6 also. With all the emmissions testing Michigan is talking about a doubt a Carbed V8 would pass in a 4th Gen.
I would dare to say that Travis is our top V6 guy here. Once I start my V6 modding Travis is going to be on my top PM list.
In fact I saved this thread so i know what exhaust setup to go with.
Alright, I cleaned up the old posts that were irrelevant, and I deleted the rants, but I left the debate between Travis and Bri up because I feel Travis made some really good points.
Fact of the matter is that if people want to mod their v6, let them. Don't come ruining a v6 thread by saying "buy a v8." If people wanted to, or could afford to, we all know that we would do so. It's just not feasible to everyone. Starting today, any posts that I see where people are asking for help with their v6 performance and someone says buy a v8, I'm deleting that person's posts.
