How the hell do you tighten and loosen these ****ers?

I took off my CAI today and replaced everything back to stock and i couldnt get the ****er to loosen..so I used a flat head to try and pry it up and pull it off...and to tighten it i pryed it up and tried pulling it couldnt get it really tight so wtf is the trick with this?

Oh yea one more thing..when I took off my CAI...i wasnt sure if this came off the CAI or with the stock air induct thing

I dont remember because after i took off the CAI i threw everything in a box..same box my stock one was sitting in..I think it goes with the CAI because..i just dont know seems like it??

If it doesnt go to the CAI...theres no rubber thing connected with the air induct anyways

Those plastic ratchet clips are annoying as hell......try prying it to the side to release it.
