ahh 380ish with a real bad slipping clutch, stock heads and missing a couple bolt-ons

Im buying Matt's LS7 clutch when he rips it out of his car, it probably was around $850ish for all parts and gaskets etc.

380 is a very good number once the clutch is fixed I would say you'll be a very happy man

Well for us Gen 1 SBC guys that's really high. But you LS1 guys have alittle bit bigger numbers than most of the Gen 1 SBC's on here.


I got new heads, cam, lifters, and intake for that much.

I had $130 in my first cam swap.

Got about $170 in this second cam. (thats with lifters and pushrods)

explain to me how the hell you did a cam swap for under $200. the cam i want isnt anything that special and that alone is $250.

let alone:
roller rockers, retainers, locks, dual springs, timing chain/set, and all the gaskets necessary to do the swap.

Gen 1 SBC stuff is pretty cheap.

Your motor is a roller cam.

Mine's a flat tappet.

I have $250 in my entire motor right now (the 305, excluding the turbo, just the motor)
