  • Long Tube/ Y-pipe install

I have no idea why and wasnt expecting to have this much of an issue but im having trouble finding a shop that will install my long tubes and y pipe. Ive had 3 shops either ignore me or just straight up refuse because its too difficult. Does anyone know of any good exhasut shops in grand rapids?

This place, the manager/mechanic's name is Andrew, very cool guy. Tell him Brad with the Firebird sent you. he did a TON of work on my old GTP that had pretty much everything but a turbo done to it.

He's got a black mustang convertible with a turbo 4.8 swap that went 9s.

The amount of write ups and online help it's a pretty easy task to manage.

I did mine in my driveway. Go get a couple jack stands, coat the old bolts and schnozz with pb blaster. and go to town

I'd be calling some friends if I were you. To each their own.

Agreed - I can only imagine it won't be cheap at a shop...

One of the easiest things to do to a 4th gen LS1 fbody. All you need are regular hand tools and a few hours with a friend.

No special tools or techniques required. Literally all you do is unbolt the old shit and bolt in the new stuff. On some vehicles you MIGHT have to cut the casting tab off the block with a sawzal.

Im getting it done at the dealership I work at next week. It's going to end up being a lot cheaper than I thought plus it will be getting worked on while I'm there so I will be able to help. Thank you everyone for your input though
