So for all the things I have done to my car, I've never done the Throttlebody coolant bypass mod. So since I don't drive my car in winter anymore I thought I would do it this weekend if I have some spare time. But I got to thinking, If GM was so nice as to put a seperate pass-thru into my throttlebody design for coolant, why not re-purpose it to flow through something to bring my air temps down, even if it just countered some of the heat soak in the TB. The question is then, what to use.
I know they make methanol injection kits and freezebulbs for the aircharge and stuff like that, but that might be a bit elaborate/expensive if not at least in the same vein as what I'm thinking. I also thought about rerouting the A/C refrigerant lines but the HP lost from the compressor would completely counter anything I was gaining and then some.
Any thoughts?
