  • LT1 kooks headers and gmmg install (pictures included)

I am finally getting rid of my stock manifolds and my flowmasters, I got my kooks 1 3/4 x 3 headers and ory-pipe in the mail a few days ago and i took the old exhaust off. I am still waiting on the gmmg but it will be here hopefully tomorrow. I got the headers coated with Jet hot's extreme sterling color, looks almost like chrome.

I will definitely get more pictures of it in the engine bay and videos with the car running open header and finally with the gmmg Its going to sound sick.
Also i plan getting the car tuned and was wondering were i should go to get my car tuned, i hear SB tuning is a good choice?

Looks nice, the Kooks should "slide right in" vs other makes.

Yes a tune would be best although it looks like you may be keeping AIR/EGR? I have a madtuner tune and it runs great with LT's.

Honestly I would contact Phil,he does tuning out of Jakes Automotive...He cost more, but it is worth it...I had my car tuned by Steve,he tuned it at Vectormotorsports, and lets just say he cost me a new transmission by uploading the wrong trans file...

I dont think hes any more than anyone else? Ive been using him for years and I always get out of there cheaper than most people say they are paying for a real tune.

Yes, but s.s. is so nice!

My car sees moisture mayyyybe once a year, and I'd still opt for s.s. The pacesetters just look nasty when they start to rust
