Best LT1 Intake?

Hello all, I currently have the SLP dual tube cold air intake, It fits horribly and it fits so bad that it crushes my filters when i take it in and out, also I hate cleaning and oiling my filters. I swear no matter how light i am with the oil or how long i let them sit my maf gets covered with the oil and i have to clean it.

So my question is what is the best looking, flowing and fitting intake? The lid setup looks good but i dont really want to have to cut up a bunch of stuff. Thoughts?

only time the car has seen rain this year was coming home from woodward, went thru a nasty storm and the dirty water from the road coated my MAF and made my car want to die. Cleaned the MAF when i got home and was back to normal. Only thing about that Speed inc setup is the price, wow. haha

Worth the price, its proven to pick up at least 2 mph on ls1 cars that have a better intake setup

It is not bad at all, only thing is finding an slp lid for a decent price. I think total I am going to have about $150 into mine.

so just a regular lid setup wont work, you have to have the SLP lid?

I do not know, i was just following the instructions. But I would assume that if you are going to go that far, getting the slp lid is not a huge deal.

Here is another question: is the ls1 slp lid more efficient than the 93-97 ram air?

I would think they are the same. SLP lid is much easier to find than the ram air though.

I have the functional fiberglass SS hood which i thought about going to the SS ram air but my STB bar is in the way.

I would think they are the same. SLP lid is much easier to find than the ram air though.

I see lids on tech for sale for $10 $20 all the time. Just gotta find the radiator support.
