Not much, and my car is obnoxious and raspy with mine all the way open. I usually just crack it open.
Also, it allows fresh air up the exhaust and is picked up by the o2s and the computer just dumps fuel in to try and compensate. My car runs pig rich as soon as I open mine, its not efficient, your exhaust burns peoples eyes, and smells like shit, not to mention your not making the optimal power. If you want loud run a decent true dual setup, and dump it before the axle, take it all the way out the back if you dont want the drone.
I loved my cutout the first year I had it, its closed most of the time now, Im over it, its way to loud and annoying.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....
