Hey guys, I've got the Dynomax super turbo muffler on my 96 right now (sounds decent for a v6, typical good low, nasty above 3500 rpm), but I am wondering if it would sound/run better if I buy a Z28 cat-back and swap that on instead. Any opinions wanted!!!

Yeah Joel, I saw that video...sounds pretty sick! So I'm thinking yes, because I'm getting it for 50 and it's an LS1 camaro cat-back. And travis, I have a Magnaflow high-flow cat. and then the stock 2 1/4 pipe between that and the muffler (stingy exhaust guy wouldn't do 2 1/2), and the Dynomax muffler with dual outlet 2 1/2 tips.

i used the piping from the catback i believe as far forward as i could... there was an S-pipe or something that i had to keep or else spend some decent bucks on a custom bend there.-Joel

I guess I'll take it to a shop and see what they say I should do. I heard a 97 3800 camaro today with what looked like a T/A exhaust on and it literally sounded like a small v8. Seriously. REALLY! haha. Anyone know of any good exhaust shops/people around Kalamazoo???

hmmm, well the Z28 catback will definitely be an improvement over the dynomax... I don't need volume, but the tone sounds amazing either way I think.
