Hey guys, I'm getting an SS hood soon with the SS airbox, and was wondering if anyone has ever improved the horribly restrictive intake on a 96/97 Camaro, or done anything similar. I need to figure out a way! I would love to take advantage of the ram air.

haha could you direct them to this thread? I'm a little skeptical about doing custom mods without help.

I have seen a few folks on www.fullthrottlev6.com and firebirdv6.com who modified the ram air intakes to work with their cars however the SS intake sits on top of the intake so you may have to fabricate some intake piping and remount the lid further forward but the LT1 intake is not terribly different in design, you may be able to get away with just some poly or rubber elbows.
