Im getting a custom cat back (minus the cat) exhaust put on my camaro next week, but im not exactly sure what kind of setup/muffler that i want to use. I have factory manifolds and a factory y-pipe. Im looking for a LOUD, throaty, almost raspy sound. ANY SUGGESTIONS?!

If you want raspy, get a Flowmaster and be done with it.- Brian Meissen

i've been doing some research and i think i am gonna go with a flowmaster muffler.
the only question is, what muffler should i go with? ive noticed that flowmaster has quite a selection to choose from...whats the difference?sigpic

well.... if you want LOUD, go with a SLP loudmouth. Not the throaty-est exhaust out there, but it's definitely loud and will give you that "rasp" you mentioned.
personally, I would not put a flowmaster on your setup
my best suggestion would be to start looking up exhaust clip videos on youtube with cars that are stock cam/heads/headers and see what you like2000 Trans Am l 1967 Firebird

i had aerochambers on my truck and i was very happy with them. They are a lil quieter than flowmaster though.-Joel
