I had shorty headers that were a PITA to get out. Are you putting the header in from the bottom? Did you take the plugs out?

I had my transmission out, plugs out, egr off, air pump off, and "old" motor mounts that let us move the motor quite a bit.

What header bolts are you using?

Can you take pics and post up?

That side looks pretty good (& tight). Any pics of the side you were having a hard time with?

Haven't ever heard of anyone needing a custom dipstick-tube, so it should work. You should be able to bend the lines ( very carefully) to gain more clearence. I'd use some heat-tape on those lines just where it goes by the header/Y-pipe assembly, just to be safe (you know how vunerable the 4L60E can be)

We had to bend my dip stick tube a bit. Also my car is a 6 speed so I'm clueless about trans lines. I also regret not beating my firewall in more than I did.

edit: nevermind figured out they are speed daddys

I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Mine was all very minor modifications that are expected when the price tag is half of pacesetters. These are the exact same bend as LPP or Kooks.
