you might want to look at Nates thread as these questions were addressed in his thread. He just installed these headers on his LT1 2 weeks ago.

Be careful of the word "best". Best is the same as opinion on the internet.
I used Specter lockwire header bolts. 11 bucks at autozone. I also used the gasket that the headers came with. Only issues we had was when the gasket folded and we couldnt get the bolts in. Straightened the gasket out and bolts with in relatively easy. Drivers side is the hardest to do and my dad had all 8 bolts in by him self in half hour. You will need to grind your steering shaft a bit(not much),K member, and I elected to dent one of the primary's(actually Joel did)
Be advised, the y pipe fit will probably need to be modified or you will need the BFH mod a bit. My thread is very long and drawn out but covers pretty much everything on the speed daddys. Be very thankful you only have one set of 02's.
This is how mine sounds now:
Also if you need a flat 02 extension, I have an extra one that I didnt end up using(my car is OBDII). Id sell it very cheap.Last edited by nascarnate326; January 16th, 2011, 12:24 PM.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

I think your kmember would work just great.
Around March 1 I am going to start finishing up my winter projects on my car. I will update my thread once I have some miles on it, get the exhaust welded up, tune, etc. Should be some time in April.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed

What problems are you having?
Was it more work getting the manifolds out, or the headers in?
It will be worth it, nothing is easy. These are fbodies, not Lego's

Thats why I didn't buy them. You get what you pay for and to buy the stuff that is known to fit well, it becomes a $600 project.Originally posted by s-10fan262 View Post2 days into speed daddy header install

We both dented the primary, and did some grinding on the steering shaft i believe.-Joel

Did you:
1. Dent header slightly (1/8 in max)
2. Grind some off steering knuckle
3. Grind some of the Kmember off.
With those three thing's any set of headers should be able to work.1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 - 6 Speed
