  • is it a loud mouth or dual/ dual or are they the same thing kinda urgent

this is what the guy selling it said
"Selling my SLP loudmouth cat back, just gonna run dumps on the car. New the cat-back runs $400.00 I want $200.00 shipped. Its the dual/dual 2in. slash tips. Pm me if interested."
are the dual/dual the same as the loudmouth because on ls1sounds.com there is two different categories
i am supposed to pay for it tomorrow so i kinda need an answer fast

The Dual/Dual is a tip, and a catback. He is selling a loudmouth with dual/dual tips. Not a dual/dual catback.

The loud mouth has a bullet muffler. The Dual dual has a full size normal box type muffler 18x8x4 roughly (I have it on my car).

This is my dual dual catback WITH dual dual tips

This is a loudmouth with dual dual tips, called so because its a dual tip(two outlets) and you have two tips, one for each side, therefor you have dual dual exhaust tips.

As long as it looks like the bottom picture, but beware, it is LOUD, especially if you have an auto, alot of people run it for a while, then get over the my car is obnoxiously loud phase and move to something else.

It will rasp, especially with headers, sounds better IMO with stock manifolds and cats. There are better exhausts out there, unless your just going for obnoxious,

Several reasons, you cant choose when to shift, so you have no way to stay "stealthy" if your coming home late, etc. Also, the manual cars have a higher overdrive ratio than we do, so turn less rpms when cruising, less rpms = less drone/inside monotone annoying noise. Have you ever thought about an electric cutout? Thats what I have, the dual dual is louder than any regular car on the road, but is so soft that you cant even tell my car has headers and is cammed.

This is my "stealth mode" quite quiet, headers, ORY, to slp dual dual.
http://www.youtube.com/user/schandle.../3/JAO2KmC0OWg <--- go there, cutout is open to start, I close it at 2:50.

This is my car with the cutout open

Im torn between loudmouth and cut out as well.

Even with short shifting low rpm is loudmouth THAT loud?

                    Isnt loudmouth 2 quieter?

LM1 is STUPID LOUD LM2 is still LOUD. I ran the LM1 for awhile but i draws way too much attention from the wrong people (cops) so I found the SLP Powerflow conversion. Much better tone and overall sound. If I want loud I will just open the cut out.

Be prepared to bash your head into the window if you plan on some LT's w/ LM1

Take it you are buying it from tech?

I think mine sounded great with stock manifolds and cats and the LM1, its still fairly loud that way though.

Cutout. When I want to be loud I open it. When I want to "sneak" I close it and have a decent tone. But I still don't like my cat-back.
