  • i need advice on headers for a lt1 camaro

i recently bought a 1995 LT1 and a previous owner had long since removed the factory exhaust manifolds and replaced them with a set of headers (idk what kind).

well anyway, the headers he had installed have seen better days. they are substantially rusted and im not sure how much longer they will last. currently, there is a "chugging" sound coming from the engine bay and i have been told that its because the gaskets are bad or its because there is a crack in one or both of the headers.

i was thinking about just having the gaskets replaced, but seeing as im gonna need to get the rusty headers replaced soon anyway, i have been considering putting new headers on or just putting factory replacement manifolds on right now. im leaning more towards headers because i dont want to lose power as a result of putting manifolds on.

basically, i was wondering if anyone knows of some good quality CHEAP headers that i can put on my LT1.

I am looking at 6LiterEater headers. Long tube race headers full stainless steel. 450 bucks plus 50 bucks for the stainless steel Y pipe.
