You could also go to a shop like Firestone and have them perform what is called a Fuel Tune which they will clean the intake as well as the entire fuel system and restore some performance for sure. I know I had it done on my explorer and it was a noticeable difference. You should see how much crap will come out of your car through the exhaust. Just pay attention to doing with products like seafoam and at home fuel tunes otherwise you'll get spark knock and you really don't want that.Comment

Fill it up with good gas and change the spark plugs I would guess. Im not a big fan of seafoam. I know a lot of people on here have had good results with it, but remember this. You take a 160,000 mile motor and sometimes that "gunk" is all thats holding the rings and gaskets together. Eliminate it and your burning and leaking oil. JMHO, Eric L

it was a 90 k motor, I told him to try 89 octane, and see if it goes away, the day we did the seafoam we did a full tune up too. Thanks Eric99 Buick Regal GS- New DD
