    you rip the shit off

youll need to use sheetmetal to craft blockoff plates for your intake manifold, or buy some. (the gaskets make good templates) And if your headers have air provisions youll need to plug those.

The ERG block off plates are on ebay. run $20.00 or so. Like joel said if headers have AIR ports plug them.

headers are race headers w/o air hook ups and is the egr hook up on the back of the intake manifold?

Yeah, it's clear on the back of the manifold.

also doing this on a 305 tpi. what needs to be done? buying long tube headers without the ports. after they are blocked off on the engine does it need to be tuned for these deletes? will the ses light come on?

Yupp block off the EGR and EGR Feed tube. It can be down with the intake on the car. Just doing it blind and by laying on the engine.
