02 firebird intake

Since Whisper lids isn't being produced anymore, I am looking at going a different route. Does anyone have the intake from Chrome Intakes on E-bay item #370325018556? I'm wondering if it's any good?

Nononono. You were on the right track with lids. Elbows are waaaaaaaaaaaay inferior to lids. You would have better performance sticking with your stock lid than you would implementing an elbow system. The new "in" mod is to convert LT1s from elbow intakes to LS1 lids. Is there a difference between v6 and v8 lids?

PS - Not to mention, that ebay auction is whack. They left the lid in place with the elbow?

Thanks for the info! So if I can't find a lid what about doing a k and n intake I know they are pricey though

Any and all elbows are inferior to lids. Think about it - lids are bringing the air straight into the throttle body whereas an elbow is making the air bend 90*

Because the lid is sitting on top of the radiator support. It does look dumb.

Is there a difference between v6 and v8 lids?

I believe the V6 TB is offset, and the lid is longer, since the engine is shorter..

Yup lid outlet to engine is longer and offset to one side.
