Today we met up with an old friend that my wife used to go to college with, he told me he just ordered at 1SS last week and he loved the car but was thinking of putting a different exhaust on it to give it a little more rumble. He isn't really a gearhead and all his other cars have been stock. He says he wants a nice deep tone that isn't overly loud at all just a little throatier than stock. The car will probably never see headers or anything else aside from a CAI. What do you guys recommend? Please provide videos or sound clips so I can show them to him for his approval. He has checked out a few systems and so far likes the Corsa touring. Also I will be installing the system for him in exchange hes gonna let me take it for a spin.

SLP has three different systems with different levels of volume. Each one has an video so he can pick between them. powerflow being the least agressive then loudmouth 2 then loudmouth 1 being most agressive
gm performance has one, as does borla....but they are a bit more pricy from what I remember.

I have never liked any of the SLP exhausts I have owned/heard, and the fit and finish isn't comparable to Corsa IMO. He knows they cost like $1200 but finding one cheaper wouldn't be bad.Doing less with more

If he has got the money to blow, by all means go CorsaOriginally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View PostI have never liked any of the SLP exhausts I have owned/heard, and the fit and finish isn't comparable to Corsa IMO. He knows they cost like $1200 but finding one cheaper wouldn't be bad.
Borla might be a good in between cost system, not cheapest but not a Corsa price.
but you can point out the other options to him
wish I could rep the GMPP system but it sounds the worst of all of them IMOLast edited by white96TA; November 15th, 2009, 08:48 PM.

Money isn't a factor, sound is the most important. Its his year round daily driver so it can't be obnoxious or drone at all.Doing less with more

Jeff contact Creight at CS3 I remember him posting a thread a little while back about exhaust systems for the new camaros. If you do a little digging you might be able to find his thread. I'll take a second and see if I can find it.
EDIT: Here is the thread it was for Corsa exhaust systems, PM him he might know a little more about the sound.

If hes looking for quiet he might want something else. My neighbor has the street (read quiet) version of their systems on both his C5 and C6, they sound great at idle, but are just obnoxious loud when you get on it, MUCH louder than my car, and his vettes are bone stock.
I really like them, but if it was my sole means of transport year round I might really look into reviews and stuff about whats out there.
Summary - sounds wicked, but kind of loud.1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....

Here is a Corsa one, just skip to the end so you can hear how it sounds installed. I think I like this one the best out of the three.

after hearing several videos I personally don't like the Corsa myself, its a lot like the 4th gen Corsa and its a little to high pitched for my taste, the Borla is the winner so far but its up to him.Doing less with more
