i was told i would have this problem on my car, so as a solution i smashed my floorboard/chasis up about an inch or so and got my y-pipe reduced to 2.5." Even with all that precaution it still taps a little bit when my clutch gets into one of its bad chattering spells.

the way i 'clearanced' mine was with a hydraulic post jack, rather than a BFH. i jacked the front of the car up with a different jack and then set the weight of the car down on that chasis piece that runs through there. i smashed it about 1" and likewise i now have about a 1" bump in my floorboard there on the inside of the car.

haha, this might sound kinda ghetto but i just drove it around with it banging and it dented the heat shield up enough itself where i dont really get banging anymore

Word....that's good...usually everything "falls into place" eventually!

time for the 4.10's and that LS6 intake!
