How much should a new muffler cost me?

Looking to get a Magnaflow or something nicer
than what I have for my 95 T/A.
Any opinions on where I should go and what I can get?
Its just 1 muffler, how much should that cost me?

Around $130 for a good magnaflow at summit, thats where i got mine

If you have the money, I'd buy a whole cat back system. The muffler will give you the sound yes, but a system will help the flow. I think the Magnaflow's are pretty resonable and I know my Flowmaster American Thunder system was just over $300 from Summit delivered to my door.

I just think if you are going to spend half that on a muffler, why not get the whole system then. IMO.

Jasen is right but a muffler shop should be able to order and weld one in for $125 or so if you really wanna go that route.

Agreed, just be careful, some like to use cheaper mufflers and pass them off as name brands. Happened to a buddy of mine.

will have a GMMG system.

I got my Vortex muffler and new pipes and tipes installed for $150, a Magnaflow sounds better and might run just a bit more...

How does it sound and where did you go?

It is not overly loud, but leaves a nice rap and smooth flow...I got it done at G&M Express in Holland...I know the owner and have been friends of their family for years...one of the best muffler guys and companies in the area...
