  • What went here?? (86 vac system)

The chilton's doesnt seem to have a clue, and I cant find the line or where it went. Any ideas? The line that is plugged in was broken when I got the car, it runs right into the TPI. Where did the other line go to?

    What engine do you have?

Should be a 305 TPI, the previous owner said it was a 350, but it looks like the original to me. Going to try to clear some wiring out of the way to find the stamp this weekend.

One line should go to the small nipple on the bottom of the throttle body, the other should go to the egr valve.

About 2 years. But thats not why its full of leaves.

It was only outside of the garage for about 6 months, but the hood has huge slots in the side and back of it, so the leaves just drifted right in.

I believe this is correct, and also probably the reason it idles wrong and the problems you were describing.
