  • Help identifying headers?

These are a set of headers that were in the trunk of the T/A I bought this weekend. I want to identify em so I can sell em. I'm not much of a performance guy, so I have no interest in putting them on my T/A. So can anyone identify them for me? Anyone want em?

What's the number stamped on the flange? Probably doesn't really matter what brand they are. In that condition they are probably worth about $60 IMO.

Oh yeah, at the most. I was going to throw them up for $50, just wasn't sure what to call em. I'll check the stamp when I get home.

Could always blast them and hit them with a coat of VHT high temp header/manifold paint and get a few more $ out of them.

Had em blasted last night, picking them up after work. I'll check the numbers then.

Look kinda like the hooker comps for the 3rd gens. Measure the primary size and let us know. Eric L

You know, it always helps to check BOTH of them carefully when your trying to identify them. Found the tag on the other one, after they were blasted. Turns out, they are Edelbrock model #6872. I'll throw up pics of em in the for sale area. They look ALOT better now.

Are they just raw material now? I have some high temp black paint you could use Saturday.

Yeah, pretty much just bare metal. I thought about painting them, but should I just go ahead and sell them bare, so whoever buys them can paint them the color they want? Heres some pics of them now.

I did some research, they are the proper headers for an third gen TPI car. The entire kit with the Y pipe sells for about $450.

Put something on them, they'll rust quick being bare metal, even from humidity.

x2. If I were you I'd paint them and list them for like $125.
