  • Nick's Exhaust Repairs:

Well, as most of you know already, I was involved in an accident with Ben about 20 miles from the meet and greet. One of my dual exhaust turndowns was pinched closed after being bent 180* towards the front of the car. I decided to try to replace the pipe and install some tips. . . Now, I know that "the norm" is to use chrome tips, but since I have no other chrome on my car, I was wondering if I should go with the black tips that my work carries. I have been able to locate all parts that I will need to repair my exhaust, and I'm adding exhaust tips that will actually be visible from the rear and sides of the car. I kind of like the tips that have the two pipes coming from the individual exhaust pipe, but I also like the straight cut pipes with the rolled edge. What do you guys think I should get? I'm using weld-in tips, and I'm welding the extension pipes in, so welding isn't a problem. I'd like to use parts that Advance Auto Parts normally stocks, since I can get a 20% discount. . . Pics would be nice to show what you would like to see me do with my ride. . . Thanks in advance!

You guys are already letting this thread die? lmao. . . Here's some pics of what I want . . .

The last pic, the police Camaro, has the dual turnup exhaust tips. . . I think they are kinda cool, but I think I would like them better if they were straight cuts and straight back instead of out and up. . .

i personally dislike "turnup" tips on anything. i think those look retarded. definitely go with option A there.

The chrome/black ones would look sweet. Just have about 1/2 - 3/4" of chrome tip sticking out past the bottom of the bumper would probably look really sweet. The dual/dual on my car sits too far under the bumper for me. I wish it was out another inch or two.

Don't do turn ups on a Camaro. I have them on my Audi, but it's different because I ordered them from a German company. I think the ones you showed up there would be great.

I can't get the ones I posted, I can get chrome ones that look a lot like them, but they will be bolt-ons. . . I might order from Jeg's or Summit or something to get the ones I want.
