  • Muffler rattle

Well the other day i'm driving my car, and taking off from a stop sign and I hear a rattle coming from underneath the car so i get under there and shake the muffler and something is rattling around in there. I have the magnaflow cat back exhaust kit, but this exhaust system seems to have excessive drone while driving and was wondering if anyone can give me a suggestions on different mufflers or if anyone knows how easy it is to make a claim to magnaflow about the faulty muffler.

Oh i forgot to mention that i added another amplifier to my audio setup so i now have an amp that's 60x4 for interior speakers. Also i think the car will be getting tinted by the end of the month so if anyone has any suggestions for a tint place close to the flint saginaw area that would be sweet too.

i would try a claim. no muffler is gonna sound much better on a v6. Not worth the money anyway. Try the website otherwise try a local muffler shop that sells them. They can prob do it there.

Did the cat end up in the muff?

yea I dont see how the muffler could have an issue because stainless magnaflows dont rust.. unless it was defective? might be something to do with the cat rusting up or something. I know my cover on the cat would get pebbles in it on my old v6 and those would rattle sometimes?

1BADAIR might have my answer i did change out my cat while i had this exhaust on due to it failing. I think i might have to unstrap the muffler tonight and see if i can get anything to fall out of it. Does anyone here know if there is anything i can do to quiet it down a little bit. I mean it's not crazy loud it's just kind of higher pitched (v6 i know i know). I have heard of people putting like another bullet muffler in place of the cat but i thought that this might be much more restrictive. Well let me know what you guys think, and thanks again for your help.
