i want to make a custom side exhaust. i don't think its possible but if i could do it, it would look bad ass. i want the side exhaust to exit through the side skirts like the viper srt10 and i want to make the tips the Chevy bow tie. i think this would look and sound amazing. but i pretty sure there isn't enough room to do that and then there is the heat issues on the paint. what do you all think.

not enough room, also I don't believe you have anything to work with short of cutting up the floorboards quite a bit because the side skirts and not much lower than the frame itself. If you do go through with it just use a circular or oval outlet though, those bowtie tips look like complete shit IMO.Doing less with more

There was a camaro I rememebr seeing on Camaroz28.com that had the side exhaust through the side skirts but it looked kind of funny but was unique. Or maybe it was shaved to fit around the pipe.
I have to see if I could dig up the pictures though. It was a couple years ago.
It was very very very customLast edited by BP_Z28; April 18th, 2009, 10:42 AM.

I think it would be sweet, but I agree I dont like the look of the bow tie tips...But I also dont believe there is enough room unless you are willing to do a lot of custom work to get it donesigpic

see i was thinking if the tips weren't sticking out at all it would look just like a black Chevy bow tie on the back of the ground effect.Chris

Both are links to LS1Tech people's side exhaust setups, most are crappy looking, but there are one or two good ones.
