Does anyone know how to tell by serial number the difference between a ls1 intake and a ls6 intake(or any other way of telling)....the numbers on mine are 12560688 and below that is the firing order.

The true check is to look for the flat bottom.

      From LS1tech

      LS1 intake manifold, with EGR (98-00 F-body) = 12561269 (formerly 12560688)
      LS1 intake manifold, no EGR (from 97-00 Corvette) = 88894095 (formerly 12557846, 12556333)
      LS6 intake manifold (01-02 F-body) = 88894339 (formerly 88890524, 88890523, 12561184)
      LS6 intake manifold (from Corvette Z06) = ? (formerly 12573572)

an ls6 intake doesn't have any EGR provisions right behind the throttle body, and the runners look bigger
