  • what exhaust should i get

i have a 95 z28 with pacesetter long tube, a custom Y-pipe. thats all. so im wondering which exhust setup i should do? the guy i bought the car from must have grinded off all the hooks to hang an exhaust so im gonna have to weld new ones on. just if there is any suggestions let me know what i maybe should do?? should i do more a custom setup? or maybe more of a standard setup. i need something that i can drive so i can still hear the radio soo. let me know what ya think??

I would just do a catback, maybe a magnaflow or hooker. you could also put in a cutout...seems like the trendy thing to do lately

If it's too loud in the cabin you can Dynomat the inside of the car.
That will make a big difference.

You could do a cat-back and mod it to fit.

yea i should have dynomatted my car I just had my car torn down to the floor boards fixing some major rust spots. and other poeple told me to do that. too late now though... i dont feel like ripping apart the car again. but i think im gonna go with a magnaflow exhaust ive heard alot of good things about that setup.

Yeah I agree with the previous 2 post, hooker or magnaflow are always two good choices but there are others out there too. Also a cutout is a good thing to do too if you are doing exhaust work its one of those things you just have to have . I know you said you dont want to rip the interior down again by dynamat is a great idea!

I can't hear the radio that well in my car now with just a Flowmaster catback on it. I can only imagine what it will be like with my headers and cutout. I'm gonna blow out my speakers just trying to hear the radio.

i agree i dont even notice how loud it is. but my buddys tell me when they are next to me in another car its a ton louder outside. but if i could cruise around with it wide open and not get in trouble for it i prob would.

The magnaflow is a nice system. Feel free to send me a pm for Mifbody member pricing on any exhaust of your choice.

i love my borla. It sounds great but they are pretty expensive. If your looking for something cheaper id say go with a magnaflow cat back.

After owning my car and hearing others, the only exhausts I would buy would be either SLP or Corsa. Both sound great.

i plan on throwing full exhaust on my 96 this summer and will probably go with an SLP catback its fairly cheap and it sounds pissed off. The borla catback sounds good too but its pretty expensive. If you have the money i would go with borla but if your looking for the most bang for your buck i would go SLP
