the current setup on my car from the previous owner causes the exhaust pipe to bang on either the axle or underbody of the car if the rear wheels slip/hop during acceleration. i have not measured it yet, but I believe it to be a 3" pipe. I am looking for a new setup that is quieter that comes off long tubes headers. any suggestions. i have seen some over the axle pipes that have been flattened for more clearance. does anyone know of any exhaust kits that do not cause the knocking sound to happen. thanks.

if its a catback get a aftermarket panhard rod, that and even a relocation bracket will open up world of room there while also improving performance.Doing less with more

not true dual. current flow: headers, exhuast pipe, loud mouth muffler, exhaust pipe back over the axle then splits for two outputs. let me see if i can get a picture up for everyone to look at.Comment

If it's a catback then their shouldn't be too many issues esp. if it's only 3".
My Mufflex is 3.5" pipe from the y to the bumper and I needed to modify some of the hangers and mounts to eliminate vibrations particlularly the over the axle pipe.
